Will the slabs get water damaged?
No, every material we use is made for a wet shower. Porcelain and quartz are non-porous; granite, quartzite, and marble just need sealing.
How do I know my slab shower walls will match what I picked?
Every job gets a digital layout before we fabricate, no matter the material. You see a digital image of your actual slab, laid out piece by piece with any seams marked, and if there's veining, we adjust until the pattern flows. Nothing moves to fabrication until you approve it.
How do I clean slab shower walls?
Squeegee after each use to keep water spots down, and wipe with a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner now and then. Much easier than scrubbing grout lines.
Can I use slabs on the shower floor?
Yes, it's doable when it's planned properly. Tile's still more common underfoot, but slab floors work.
What about the shower curb?
We fabricate matching curb pieces from the same material as your walls, so the whole surround reads as one.
How long does slab installation take?
Setting a piece usually takes a few hours, but the full job runs over more than one visit, each piece is templated off the one before it, so it goes in stages. Time depends on the shower's size and complexity.
Do you handle the waterproof membrane?
No, that's construction work your general contractor or tile installer handles before we arrive. We focus on fabricating and installing the slabs themselves.
Do you serve my town?
Mostly MetroWest and Greater Boston, but we go all over Massachusetts, and we're willing to travel anywhere in New England for the right job.
Can I visit the showroom to see materials?
Absolutely. Browse samples and displays in the showroom, then walk the warehouse to see and touch the full slabs, and pick the one you want.
What's the best material for a low-maintenance shower?
Quartz and porcelain are the lowest maintenance, non-porous and waterproof, so they never stain, etch, or need sealing. Granite is also very durable. Marble is the highest-care of the group.
