Extreme heat is the weak spot: it takes a lot, but a pan straight off the burner can scorch the resin or crack the slab, so keep a trivet close

Do you install quartz, or just fabricate it?
Both, all in-house. We template, fabricate, and install with our own crew.
Can I buy a quartz slab without fabrication?
No. We sell quartz as a finished, fabricated and installed countertop, not as a raw slab. It's the only way we can stand behind the result.
Do you serve my town?
Mostly MetroWest and Greater Boston, but we're willing to travel anywhere in New England for the right job.
Can you cut on quartz countertops?
We don't recommend it. Slicing will dull your knives and damage the surface over time, and chopping can do real harm fast. Use a cutting board. Can you cut food directly on quartz?
Can quartz crack?
It can, and heat is almost always why. The most common culprit we hear about is an air fryer venting onto the same spot for a long stretch. A hot pan is more likely to leave a burn mark than a crack. What causes cracking in quartz countertops? →
Does quartz need to be sealed?
No, never. It's non-porous, so there's nothing for a sealer to soak into.
How long do quartz countertops last?
Quartz has only been common in US kitchens for about twenty years, so nobody really knows yet. You'll see all kinds of claims out there. Indoors and out of direct sun, well past fifteen years is a safe bet, and most warranties cover that long.
Can quartz go outdoors?
Outdoors, no. UV yellows and fades it, and it voids most warranties. Direct sun can fade it indoors too, over years. For outside, we'd steer you to granite, porcelain, or a leathered quartzite.
What quartz colors are most popular right now?
In homes, marble looks in warm tones with soft veining. Commercial jobs lean toward solid colors, which hide wear and keep the space calm.
