We Handle Everything

We template your kitchen digitally, fine-tune every detail with you, and lay out your cuts on a digital version of your slab. You see the layout and pattern flow before we fabricate anything, and nothing moves forward until you sign off.

But there's no price list in this business. Two suppliers can charge different prices for the same slab, and the work you want done changes the rest of it.

About 95% of kitchen countertops fit between $55–150 per square foot installed. Exceptions like Blue Bahia granite, Blue Macaubas and Cristallo quartzites, the Calacatta and Statuario Italian marble families, and Onyx are always more expensive.

But it's not just about material. Here's what else affects your price:

Sourcing: We work with all suppliers to find the best value. With in-house inventory, you only pay for the square footage you use, not the whole slab. If we order your material, it comes as a whole slab, that's how the industry sells it. We keep remnants for smaller projects.
Project size: Bigger projects cost more than smaller ones, but often get better per-square-foot pricing.
Complexity: Waterfall edges, mitered edges, integrated sinks add cost.
Waste: Intricate shapes and pattern matching mean some of the slab goes unused. We lay out every cut digitally to get the most usable countertop from each slab. The pattern still decides in the end, and that's part of what you're paying for.

Supply and Demand: Desirability drives price. What's trendy costs more, what's out of fashion costs less. Rare blues are expensive because they're naturally rare. Italian marbles are expensive because of high demand and limited supply.

Comparing Quotes?

The labor, templating, fabrication, edges, installation, is usually the same across the industry, around $30–50 per square foot. The real difference is the material.

Compare the final total, not just each line item. A number that looks low in one spot can be made up elsewhere on the same quote.

Watch for "free" promotions too, a free edge, a free sink cutout, since that cost is usually just built in elsewhere.

A cheaper quote usually means different material or brand, not a better deal. Liking more than one color lets you choose based on what you consider the best value, whether that's holding out for the one you want or compromising to save money.

Living With Your New Kitchen

Day to day, it's the same for every material: mild soap and warm water, cutting boards, coasters under anything acidic. Skip abrasive cleaners, bleach, vinegar, and citrus.

Sealing is where materials differ, some need it, some never do. The water test tells you: splash a little on the surface, and if it beads, you're fine. When it soaks in and darkens the stone, it's time. Every natural stone we install comes sealed to start you off.

Can you work with my budget?

Yes, and we wish more homeowners would ask. Tell us your budget instead of walking away, and we'll work hard to get you there. Just compare quotes apples to apples. A lower price often isn't the same value.

When should I order if I want the kitchen ready for the holidays?

Give yourself runway. Countertops are about a two-week step from template to install, and they go in near the end, so the holiday rush is really about timing the whole project. Start early and you'll be ready. We'll hold up our end.

How do I know my kitchen countertops will match what I picked?

Every job gets a digital layout before we fabricate, no matter the material. You see a digital image of your actual slab, laid out piece by piece with any seams marked, and if there's veining, we adjust until the pattern flows. Nothing moves to fabrication until you approve it.

Do you remove my old countertops?

Yes. Removal and disposal are available as an add-on service. Just let us know and we'll include it in your quote.

Which material is best for a busy family kitchen?

Quartzite and granite handle a working kitchen without much thought. Quartz is the easiest of all, since it never needs sealing. Marble is beautiful but it will patina, and you have to be at peace with that.

What's the difference between quartz and quartzite?

Quartz is engineered: ground stone bound with resin. Quartzite is natural stone, quarried in slabs. Both are hard. They look and feel different, and they behave differently around heat.

Do you install sinks and faucets?

Sinks, yes. We cut the opening and mount undermount sinks in place. We also drill the faucet holes. The plumbing connections themselves need a plumber, that's not our trade.

What edge profiles do you offer?

Eased, beveled, bullnose, ogee, mitered, and more. Come see samples of each in the showroom, since they read very differently in person.

What areas do you serve?

Mostly MetroWest and Greater Boston, but we go all over Massachusetts, and we're willing to travel anywhere in New England for the right job.
